Using Excel as a Webi source - AFO 2.2.4

Hi - SAP support is telling me that I can't use Analysis for Office 2.2.4 to save an Excel workbook to the BI Launch Pad.  I need to be able to get an Excel workbook to the BI Launch Pad so that I can run a Webi over it, and use it to send Publications via email.

Anyone have any idea how I can get and Excel workbook to the BILP ( I am on 4.1.3.3 of BI Launch Pad)?
