I have a simple BEx query which is consumed by BO Analysis.
The workbook presents filters and presents subsets of the query results in several different sheets.
It takes a long time to run the report. My question is: how many times does this report hit the database? It consists of several worksheets, but it's the same data source (BEx query) behind all of these.
Ideally BO Analysis should fetch the data only once and then do some filtering and distribute these in the different worksheets. However, it takes a long time and when looking in trace logs in BW it seems to hit the database many times, each occasion taking some time.
How does Analysis work in this context and what can I do to speed up this report?
Running it directly in BW takes 15 seconds. Running it in BO Analysis (several worksheets) takes more than 2 minutes.
