Connection keeps empty

I am facing a strange problem with Analysis for Excel.

We have two BO environment QA and Production, both BO 4.1 SP 3 Patch 1.

With AO 1.4.9.3241, I can connect to QA to get all OLAP connections showing up, so far so good. But when I connected to the production, the connection list is empty, the connection will show up only if I add the user to administrator group in Production.

The connection list is almost the same between QA and Production (QA has one or two extra connections for testing), security setup is the same. But AO works with QA not production.

What could be the issue? Any ideas will be appreciated.
